The VaporWorx Fuel pump module mounting ring will fit with modules that have a 4.68″ major diameter (not including the alignment tab) hat diameter.
Made of 304 Stainless Steel (Aeromotive P/N 68074) or 6061 Aluminum (Aeromotive P/N 68705.)
The ring can be welded from the top or bottom, but most applications are top welded. A standard OEM cam locking ring can be used (not included). GM 15776431
Compatibility & Installation:
- Patterned on the commonized USCAR design for the smaller modern hat/bulkhead fuel modules that use an o-ring sealing interface.
- For C7 Corvette fuel modules and other OEM chassis that use a similar fuel module hat design. The bulkhead in the tank is common among many manufacturers, but the hoses, electrical, angles, heights will likely be different between models.
- For any fuel pump module with a 4.68″ major hat diameter, 0.125 thick sealing flange, and an o-ring seal. Will not fit C6 or other designs that have a thicker flange and/or a rubber sealing gasket.
- Mounting hole diameter 4-1/4″.
- Target depth to bottom of tank:
- C7 Corvette 14″ from the mounting surface of the ring. Mounting surface must be parallel to bottom of tank.
- C7 height range 14-3/4″ – 13-1/2″.
- Must preload against the bottom of the tank.
- Target the middle of the compression range as the rough mounting height for other fuel modules.
- C7 ZR1 fuel modules are 750hp gasoline capable and should be controller with a VaporWorx PWM control system.
- C7 ZR1 fuel modules, GM P/N 84815635 or GM Genuine MU2351, can typically be purchased from Rockauto.com for under $200. These are fully filtered (highly recommended to NOT use an inline filter), safety devices, jet pumps, corner pickup capable, and all of the fantastic technology that no aftermarket company can provide + OE reliability.
- Excellent option when a tall tank is needed.
- Welding required.
